Bookstore Is Selling Books At 50% Off, Editors Run To Buy

That’s right, you read that correctly (no pun intended), Books-A-Million is selling everything in-store and online at 50% off! If you’ve been vacillating on whether to splurge on a few summer books or even to purchase our magazine (yes, Ms. Heel magazine is sold in their stores) now is your time. In the meantime, here are the books that our editors are buying and reading on their next delayed flight.

Ms. Heel Magazine-The Holiday Issue

Editor-In-Chief, Velicia Hill: “I’m loving Honey & Spice by Bolu Babalola. Truly spicy, hip and a Beyonce-loving thought current running through this modern & unique take on boy-meets-girl, girl-hates-boy, fall-in-love-after-all story. The dialogue is like talking with your bestie about EVERYTHING.”

Contributing Editor, Tara Acevedo: Everything Is Figureoutable by Marie Forleo, is what I’m dying to get my hands on. I want to read this book by the end of the summer because I want to figure out how to creatively yet effectively master my to-do list.  Being a new mom it’s important for me to figure out how to efficiently manage my time while creating enough space to enjoy this precious time with my son!”

Political & Copy Editor, Jane Garretson: “Latecomer, by Jean Hanff Karelia is definitely on my list to read before summer ends. Latecomer was recommended by my eye doctor, when she randomly asked if I had read it. I looked it up and decided it’s a ‘must read’- a story about family dynamics and triplets born from early days of IVF. These three don’t really care much for each other and cannot wait to be old enough to go their separate ways. When the triplets leave for college, their mother makes the decision to have a fourth child…cannot wait to see the impact of that decision when I sit down and read this book!”

Travel & Style Editor, J. Jackson: “All The Best Liars by Amelia Kahaney. This psychological thriller promises to be a great read over the summer because of its intense twist and turns up until the end of the book.”

Beauty Editor, Michelle Wallis: “The Subtle Art of Not Giving A F*ck by Mark Manson. The title gives it all away! Just a edgier version of Don’t Sweat the Small Stuff.”
