It’s been a long two years, but after recalibrating & not to mention Covid, the Miami Fashion Week (MIAFW) runways are ready to be strutted down again-showcasing the latest in resort wear. The shows, which will be held at various hotspots around the city, will begin on May 31st and run through June 5th.

One of this year’s biggest names to showcase their designs, is the world-renowned Italian fashion house, Missoni. Missoni will present its collection at the prestigious Vizcaya Museum & Gardens on June 1st, followed by a sure-to-be, star-studded party. Other designers returning to Miami are: Naeem Khan (maker of Michelle Obama’s 2013 Oscar dress), Benito Santos, Angel Sanchez, Ágatha Ruiz de la Prada (I adore her quirky, girly designs) and Rene by Rene Ruiz.
This year’s theme for MIAFW is a focus on sustainability; and true to its theme, MIAFW will hold a press conference on opening day at The LEED certified, East Miami Hotel. The week will close with a sustainability & tech gala on Saturday night, followed by a brunch on Sunday morning. For more information visit Miamifashionweek.com
