Save The Environment-Recycle Your Designer Goods

Recycle clothing

Not So Fun Fact:

The apparel industry accounts for 10% of global carbon emissions.

The global fashion industry is generating a lot of greenhouse gases due to the energy used during its production, manufacturing, and transportation of the millions of garments purchased each year.

Synthetic fibers (polyester, acrylic, nylon, etc.), used in the majority of our clothes, are made from fossil fuel, making production much more energy-intensive than with natural fibers.

GREEN IS THE NEW BLACK

As in go green! Recycle your old designer goods for someone else to buy. And please don’t throw away clothing, handbags & shoes-that only adds to the ever-growing landfills. Another not-so-fun-fact: most big second-hand stores throw away clothing as well! They get bombarded with so many donations; and items that don’t sell after a month, are then thrown into the trash. Don’t believe me? The next time you’re out doing some thrift store shopping-check out their garbage bins in the back.😡

That’s why we’ve partnered with The Luxury Closet to help you save some ‘green’ & the planet…a real 2-4-1!

Happy re-shopping!
